first_imgMaxi Curran’s Donegal U21 side will be aiming to derail Cavan’s quest for FIVE Ulster titles in-a-row on March 11th.Donegal U21’s manager Maxi Curran has stepped up preparations for his squad ahead of their blockbuster Ulster Championship clash with Cavan.With March 11th looming ever closer Maxi Curran’s squad are stepping up the intensity in training and their challenge games ahead of their clash with the Ulster Champions.Cavan have been Donegal’s bogey team in recent years and have defeated them in the last two Ulster Finals. In the 2013 Ulster Final Donegal were defeated by Cavan by four points, and again last season despite leading with just a few minutes remaining, Donegal were defeated again by four points.Maxi Curran who has been the manager in the past two seasons will be hoping it can be third time lucky for his troops.Cavan have managed to hold on to a number of players from last season’s campaign .Cavan were eventually defeated by Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final and will have ambitions on winning another Ulster title. If Cavan win another Ulster title it will be their FIFTH Ulster success in-a-row at this grade.So Maxi Curran know the difficulty they face on March 11th at Mac Cumhaill Park.Donegal drew with Armagh last week in a tough and feisty physical encounter.Donegal will be hoping they can get star player Eoin McHugh back fit as he’s been side-lined due to a virus for the past number of weeks.Maxi Curran can call on senior stars Ryan McHugh, Darrach O’Connor and Hugh McFadden.
