first_imgIn wake of the demolition of the 15th century Guru Ravidas temple in Delhi’s Tughlakabad, the protesting Ravidas community in Punjab has called for a bandh on Tuesday. The community as part of their protest against the demolition of the 500-year-old Sri Guru Ravidas Temple and Samadhi members in Delhi has called for a state-wide bandh in Punjab. However, the community said while they will carry out a peaceful protest in Ludhiana, no inconvenience will be caused to children, ambulances or foreign tourists.Schools, colleges and markets have been asked to remain closed on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police following the demolition of the 15th-century temple has intensified security in the city.
